Before your trip, the Vertice Travel operations team will contact you to schedule an in-person briefing in Puerto Natales, led by a specialized coordinator.
During this session, you will review the day-by-day itinerary, the difficulty level of each segment, key schedules, and transport logistics in detail. You will also receive recommendations on clothing and equipment, learn about the rules of Torres del Paine National Park, and be provided with essential information regarding safety and emergency contacts.
This session is designed to help you resolve all your questions before starting your journey, ensuring a well-planned, informed, and safe experience.
At the end of the briefing, you will receive your complete travel documentation, including a printed detailed itinerary and all service vouchers or tickets. You will also be provided with the box lunch for your first day of trekking, along with a welcome kit containing useful items for your experience.

The day begins early with departure from Puerto Natales towards Torres del Paine National Park. The journey continues to the Laguna Amarga entrance, where you will complete the park check-in using your entrance ticket. Afterwards, you will continue by transfer to the Welcome Center in the Reserva Cerro Paine sector, the starting point of the hike.
The trail begins with a steady ascent of approximately one and a half hours, passing through areas of low vegetation until reaching the Windy Pass (Paso de los Vientos). From there, the route descends for about 30 minutes to Refugio Chileno, an ideal place to take a short break before continuing.
The hike then continues for approximately one hour through beautiful lenga forests, following the Ascencio River Valley and crossing several bridges along the way. The final section is the most demanding, featuring a steep climb over loose rocky terrain that leads to the iconic Base Torres Viewpoint.
Upon reaching the viewpoint, you will have free time to rest, enjoy your lunch, take photographs, and admire one of Patagonia’s most iconic landscapes.
After your visit, you will retrace your steps along the same trail back to the Welcome Center, where a transfer will take you to the regular bus for your return journey to Puerto Natales. Upon arrival, you can relax and enjoy a well-deserved rest at your accommodation after an unforgettable day exploring one of Patagonia’s most spectacular natural wonders.
The day begins early as you make your way to Torres del Paine National Park. Your destination is the Pudeto sector, where you will board the Hielos Patagónicos Catamaran for a scenic 35-minute crossing over Lake Pehoé, arriving at Paine Grande Refuge, the starting point of your hike to Grey Glacier.
Your adventure begins through a narrow, winding valley leading to Los Patos Lagoon. As you continue along the trail, spectacular views of the vast Southern Patagonian Ice Field and the floating icebergs of Grey Lake gradually come into view.
After passing the Grey Glacier Viewpoint, an area often known for its strong Patagonian winds, the trail descends through a beautiful mountain forest until reaching Grey Refuge. From there, you may continue for approximately 10 minutes to the Grey Glacier Viewpoint, where you will stand face to face with one of the magnificent outlet glaciers of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field.
After an unforgettable day surrounded by Patagonia’s breathtaking landscapes, return to Grey Refuge, where dinner will be served and you can enjoy a well-deserved rest.
For an unforgettable view of the Grey glacier, set off an extra 3 – 4 hours (round trip) past the refuge in the direction of the famous hanging bridges. It is by far the best lookout of the glacier. In addition to contemplating the impressive ice, you can see the depth of the ravines formed by the rivers and waterfalls that come from the Olguín Range. If luck is on your side, you may catch ice calving into the deep, freezing waters of Grey Lake.
Enjoy breakfast in the dining room of Grey refuge and do not forget to request your box lunch! In case you did not have the chance to visit the hanging bridges the day before, you can take the morning to go and explore the spectacular panoramic views of the Grey glacier. Today, you will follow the same path as yesterday to go back to Paine Grande. Rest and enjoy dinner in the dining room of the refuge.
Today’s hike will be a round trip, starting and finishing at Paine Grande, so we recommend beginning early! After breakfast, ask for your box lunch and get ready for this last adventure before returning to Puerto Natales. Travel to the heart of the park bordering the blue waters of the Skottsberg lake. After approximately 2.5 hours of walking, you will arrive at the Italiano camp (park rangers), where you will begin your journey to the French Valley.
Climb through a massive boulder field and then continue through the forest until you reach the French plateau. Here, you will be rewarded with incredible views of Los Cuernos (the Horns), turquoise glacial lagoons, and amazing hanging glaciers that fall down the east side of Paine Grande Mountain (3.050 m.a.s.). If you are lucky, you will hear the loud sound of the glacier and the falling water, and it is very common to witness avalanches. Take some photos, enjoy your box lunch, and the well-deserved rest. Descend the same path back to the Italiano camp and then to Paine Grande. Finally, you have to board the catamaran that will take you back to Pudeto, where you will take the regular bus to return to Puerto Natales.
