DESCRIPTION

Get ready to feel the thrill of boarding a Zodiac to reach Nunatak Island and access the glacier where you can experience literally walking on the Patagonian ice.

This excursion starts at the base, a 10-minute walk from Refugio Grey with a frequency of 2 times a day. After a short safety briefing you will be transferred by zodiac across Grey Lake to approach Nunatak Island and begin a 1-hour hike to the glacier. Upon arrival the guide will help you adjust the ice equipment correctly and once you are ready you can begin the amazing ice hike adventure. It will be about 2.5 hours on Grey Glacier, observing crevasses, rivers, lagoons, tunnels and ice caves!

  • Participants must be at least 14 years old and not older than 65. This restriction is due to the physically demanding nature of the activity.
  • We recommended to wear warm and waterproof clothing.
  • We advise being in good physical shape to carry out the activity, as it demands a considerable expenditure of energy.
  • From October 1st to April 30th, 08:30 and 14:30 hours.
