Day 1: Departure from San Pedro de Atacama and border crossing to Bolivia.
Day 2: Arrival at Uyuni Salt Flat and accommodation in Hostal de Sal.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Departure from San Pedro de Atacama and border crossing to Bolivia.

The first day of the tour begins leaving from your hotel in San Pedro Atacama between 06:15 and 06:45 am, heading towards the border for the Chile – Bolivia migratory procedures, known as Hito Cajon.  Then we will change vehicles to a 4×4 jeep, to start a journey towards the Uyuni salt flat. This day we will immerse ourselves in breathtaking landscapes that include the following places to visit:

  • White Lagoon viewpoint 
  • Green Lagoon veiewpoint 
  • Desert of Salvador Dali 
  • Polques Hot Springs 
  • Sol de Mañana Geyser 
  • Colored Lagoon viewpoint 
  • Capina Lagoon viewpoint 

Overnight: Hostal / Hotel in Villamar.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner.   
    

Day 2: Arrival at Uyuni Salt Flat and accommodation in Hostal de Sal.

The second day, departure from the hostel is at 08:00 am to continue our expedition we will observe Andean flora and fauna, wetlands, among others. You will be able to appreciate the diversity of unique rock formations, exploring sites such as the City of Stone, the World Cup and the petrified Camel Rock. You will also be able to contemplate the imposing Anaconda Canyon from a privileged viewpoint and pass through picturesque villages of the Altiplano with breathtaking views. At the end of the second day, we head to the town of Puerto Chuvica, to spend the night in a hostel made almost entirely of salt. We will visit the following places of interest:

  • Visit to the rock formation called “Copa del Mundial” or “World Cup”
  • Petrified Camel Rock
  • The city of Stone
  • Vinto Lagoon 
  • Hike in the Mysterious Lagoon 
  • Anaconda Grand Canyon 
  • Bofedales de Sora 
  • Abandoned town of Julaca 

Overnight: Hostal de Sal (Salt Hostel)

Day 3: Uyuni Salt Flats y Photos

On the third day we get up very early at 04:30 a.m. to be able to appreciate the dark sky in the Salar. We will visit Incahuasi Island to see the sunrise and have a unique breakfast overlooking the salt flat. Incahuasi, which means house of the Inca in the Quechua language, is characterized by the imposing giant cactus that can reach a height of up to 12 meters. We continue to the Salar de Uyuni, the largest continuous and high salt desert in the world, with an area of 10,582 km2. Continuing our experience in the salt flat, we will take pictures from different perspectives in a fun photo session. We will put our creativity to the test by using our imagination and objects to generate unique memories of this experience. We continue our tour after visiting the city of Uyuni, at 03:30 p.m. heading to Villa Mar making a stop in San Cristobal.

Day 4: Return to San Pedro de Atacama.

We get up early, at 04:30 a.m, to continue our travel towards San Pedro de Atacama. We arrived at the Border at 09:00 a.m. We took a transfer from Hito Cajón to San Pedro de Atacama.

Arrival in San Pedro de Atacama at 12:30 p.m. approximately.
