This is the most iconic trek in the area and one of the most beautiful, as it leads directly to the foot of the majestic Mount Fitz Roy. Between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m. (exact time confirmed the day before), a minibus will pick up participants from their respective hotels and take them to the trailhead, located 18 km from El Chaltén, at Hostería El Pilar. Before starting, there will be a brief stop at a viewpoint offering stunning views of the Fitz Roy Valley.
From there, you will begin the hike through a dense forest of lenga and ñire trees, following the Río Blanco. After approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes of trekking, you will reach a viewpoint with an impressive view of the Piedras Blancas Glacier. After a brief pause to enjoy the scenery, the trek continues for another 45 minutes until you reach Poincenot Camp, a popular camping site for trekkers from various countries. Nearby, you will cross a suspension bridge that leads to the Río Blanco Base Camp, reserved for climbers. From here, those with more stamina can choose to ascend to the Laguna de los Tres Viewpoint, which involves a 500-meter elevation gain and takes about an hour more of hiking. From the summit, you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the Fitz Roy massif, the lagoon, and the surrounding glaciers. A short distance away, you can also admire the stunning Laguna Sucia. After a well-deserved rest and lunch, the return to El Chaltén is made by the trail that passes by the Laguna Capri Viewpoint, with an estimated arrival at the town or hotel between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.
Accommodation: 3* Hotel (El Puma Lodge or similar).

Along with Fitz Roy, this is one of the most important treks in the area, culminating in a breathtaking view of Cerro Torre, one of the most challenging mountains to climb in the world. The trail begins directly from the town, with a gentle incline in the first few minutes as you walk alongside the Fitz Roy River. After about 20 minutes, you will be treated to the impressive sight of the Fitz Roy River Canyon, and beautiful spots like the Margarita Cascade. From this point, the first glimpse of Cerro Torre comes into view. Soon after, you will reach the first lookout point—an ideal spot to rest (only 1 hour and 30 minutes from El Chaltén)—where you can take in the panoramic view of Cerro Torre, its glaciers, and the Cordon de las Adelas. If you return to El Chaltén from this point, the total hike will be about 3 hours, perfect for those seeking a shorter trek. For those continuing, the trail leads through a stunning valley with gently rolling terrain for another hour until you reach the De Agostini Base Camp, a gathering spot for elite climbers from around the world preparing to ascend Cerro Torre. A short walk from the camp brings you to Laguna Torre, offering magnificent views of the mountain, flanked by the Egger, Standhardt, and Bifida spires, along with the Cordon de las Adelas and its impressive glaciers cascading into the lagoon. The return hike follows the same trail. The total duration is around 7 hours (18 km), with a medium difficulty level.
NOTE: For those with extra energy, there is an option to extend the hike by 2 km (about 45 minutes) to the Maestri Lookout. This natural balcony offers spectacular views over the Glacier and Laguna Torre from above the tree line.
Accommodation: 3* Hotel (El Puma Lodge or similar).
