Day 1: Arrival at Torres del Paine National Park– Hike to Grey Refuge.
Day 2: Day Off in Grey for activities.
Day 3: Hike Paine Grande – Catamaran – return to Puerto Natales
Today start your adventure!. You must leave early from your hotel to go to the bus terminal, where you will take the bus to the Torres del Paine National Park. You will travel through beautiful landscapes until you reach Pudeto, where you will have to take the Catamaran that will take you to Paine Grande. From here begins the hike through a narrow and winding valley that leads to the Los Patos Lagoon. As you keep moving forward, you’ll begin to see parts of the immense Southern Ice Field, as well as the ice floes of Grey Lake. After passing the sometimes very windy viewpoint, the path descends through a mountainous forest until it reaches the Grey refuge. From here, if you continue for about 10 minutes you will reach the Mirador del Glaciar Grey, where you will find yourself face to face with this blue ice massif.
For an unforgettable view of the Gray Glacier, this day you can reserve about 3 – 4 hours in the morning (round trip) past the refuge in the direction of the famous Puentes Colgantes. It is the best viewpoint of the Glacier. In addition, you will can contemplate the impressive ice, you can see the depths of the ravines formed by the rivers and waterfalls that come from the Cordón Olguín. If you are lucky, you will be able to see ice slides from the Glacier into the cold waters of Grey Lake. In the afternoon you can do some of the activities such as walking on ice or kayak.
Enjoy breakfast in the Grey refuge dining room and don’t forget to order your box lunch. In case you didn’t get to visit the hanging bridges the day before, you can take the morning to go and explore the spectacular panoramic views of Grey Glacier. Or do some of the Grey Glacier Ice Trekking and Kayaking activities.
Today you will hike the same trail back to Paine Grande.
At 18:35 hrs. you must take the catamaran that will take you back to Pudeto, where you will board the regular bus at 19:15 hrs. to Puerto Natales.
