ITINERARY

Day 1: Puerto Natales – Factoría Hostel

Today you will arrive in Patagonia, specifically Puerto Natales, a charming place that will be your base to discover the incredible landscapes of this corner of the world.

Day 2: Puerto Natales – Full Day Base Torres

Enjoy an exquisite breakfast before leaving from the Factoría hostel at 7:00 am directly to the Torres del Paine National Park, where we will arrive at the Cerro Paine Reserve, the starting point of the trail and the beginning of our adventure. We will go towards the Ascencio Valley along a steep zigzag of approximately one hour of walking.

We will continue for about 45 more minutes until we reach the Chileno refuge, on the opposite bank of the Ascencio River, in the shadow of a lenga forest, with a moderate slope, crossing several slopes that fall from the Almirante Nieto hill, which is part of the Paine Massif. After about an hour and 10 minutes from the Chileno campsite, at 900 meters above sea level, you reach the foot of the moraine that gives access to the viewpoint. From this point, the trail increases its slope. After about half an hour from the sign, at 700 meters above sea level, you reach the eastern end of the lagoon, from where you have a wonderful view of the three towers (Central, Monzino and Dagostini) and the Peineta and Nido de Cóndores hills. After resting and having lunch in this extraordinary and unique scenic context on the planet, we begin our return along the same path until we reach the starting point, to return to Puerto Natales.

Day 3: Trekking Cave Paintings

You will leave heading north from Puerto Natales, a little more than 25 km away, you will begin a day of exploration visiting the Archaeological Park located inside the Ernesto Helmer Ranch, a landscape that is born from the bottom of the sea and that today you will be able to tour and observe its mountains. , cracks, eaves and valleys.

In the sector it is possible to access the perches of condors that dominate the skies in said place and once you reach the summit you will get a spectacular panoramic view of the Eberhard Fjord and Canal Señoret. Cerro Benítez is part of a paleontological sector that houses cave paintings that are approximately 3,500 years old. You will visit the window cave and then on the south east side you will enter the hidden cave (here you must access with headlamps and in point and elbow), this cave has an approximate height of 4 meters and its size is approximately 70 square meters, Here you can see ancient stalactites. Once this exciting visit is over, leaving the cave you will continue the walk towards the eaves called “Two Horseshoes” crossing lush forests, finally you will be able to see cave paintings on the rock walls.

Day 4: Full Day Paine Viewpoints

Today you will visit two of the viewpoints with incredible views in Torres del Paine.

In the morning a private transfer will pick you up at your hotel in Puerto Natales to take you to the Torres del Paine National Park. During the journey you will be able to see beautiful landscapes until you reach Camping Pehoe, where your first walk to Mirador Condor will begin. You will walk for approx. 1 hour, along a steep and sometimes very windy path, almost reaching the summit, you will find some loose rock, so you must walk carefully. Upon reaching the summit you will be rewarded with beautiful views of the Pehoé and Nordenskjol lakes, the Pincol and Negra lagoons, as well as views of mountains such as Los Cuernos del Paine and Paine Grande. You will descend along the same path, to continue your trip by vehicle to your second destination, Mirador Los Cuernos. In a short drive, of no more than 10 minutes, you will reach the Salto Grande sector, in this place you will begin the walk, first towards the Salto Grande viewpoint, where you will be able to appreciate the force of nature in its imposing waterfall, then you will begin the walk to the Mirador Los Cuernos.

You will follow an almost flat path, and along the way you will be able to marvel at the large number of natural attractions. It is very common to see guanacos during the journey.

Upon reaching the viewpoint you will have panoramic views of Lake Nordenskjold, the Cuernos el Paine and a view of the French Valley. Return to Puerto Natales.
