ITINERARY

Day 1: CALAMA (IN) - SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA

Reception at Calama airport. Transfer to San Pedro de Atacama. Hike through the Cordillera de la Sal (Salt Mountain Range) to the Moon Valley.

After watching the sunset, transfer to the hotel.

DAY 2: SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA - GUATIN - CEJAR LAGOON - OJOS DEL SALAR - TEBINQUINCHE LAGOON

Hike through the enormous and millenary cactus of the Quebrada de Guatin. Guided hike through its incredible beauty inside the canyon of the Vilama River. The site is also a place of great cultural and archaeological relevance. In the afternoon, we will visit the lagoons inside the Salar de Atacama, Laguna Cejar and Laguna Piedra. We will continue to the Ojos del Salar, two deep freshwater wells in the middle of the desert and finally we will visit the Tebinquinche Lagoon.

DAY 3: TOCO HILL

Formerly an active volcano, like most of the hills and volcanoes in the area, it is now extinct and is recognized as one of the most accessible and easy to climb in the surroundings of San Pedro de Atacama. Once at the top, the view allows us to observe part of the Bolivian altiplano, as well as the set of antennas of A.L.M.A. and have a panoramic view of the Salar de Atacama.

DAY 4: LASCAR VOLCANO

Lascar volcano is located 70 km from San Pedro de Atacama and is one of the most interesting volcanoes with its almost 5,600 meters above sea level and one of the most popular for its visible activity.

The ascent takes about 3 hours (depending on the physical conditions of the group).

DAY 5: SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA - CALAMA AIRPORT (OUT)

Transfer to Calama airport.

On trekking days, passengers must carry their backpacks with their box lunch and water. Porters are not included.
