At dawn, the navigation through the southernmost part of the Corcovado Gulf marks the beginning of one of the most special phases of the journey. Based on weather and tide conditions, the Captain will choose the route to open sea through the Boca del Guafo, the Ninualac Channel, or the Pulluche Channel. Each route reveals unique wonders.
If navigating through the Boca del Guafo, we will pass between the Chonos Archipelago and Guafo Island, heading into the open sea with stunning views. Through the Ninualac Channel, the navigation continues along the Moraleda Channel, where, upon reaching Tuap Island, we will turn westward, navigating the Ninualac Channel toward the ocean in the afternoon. The Pulluche Channel option offers a route rich in history and lush vegetation: crossing the Moraleda, Errázuriz, and Chacabuco channels, we reach Pulluche, where the lenga and cypress forests decorate the landscape. This stretch also provides opportunities to spot marine wildlife such as dolphins, sea lions, and birds. As night falls, we will begin the ocean navigation toward the Gulf of Penas, where we will spend approximately 12 hours in the open sea. During this stage, it is possible to see humpback, minke, and blue whales, which frequent the area at certain times of the year.

At dawn, we will enter the Patagonian fjords, starting with the crossing of the Messier Channel, the deepest in the region, with 1,270 meters. During this journey, we will sail near the Capitán Leonidas, a merchant ship that has been stranded since the 1970s on the “Bajo Cotopaxi” islet, which now serves as a navigation landmark. After crossing the English Strait, we will arrive at Puerto Edén, the last Alacalufe settlement in Chile, located on Wellington Island within the Bernardo O’Higgins National Park. We will then continue our navigation through various Patagonian channels, including the Paso del Indio, Paso del Abismo, Wide Channels, Concepción, Inocentes, Angostura Guía, Sarmiento Channel, Paso Farquar, Collingwood Strait, Union Channel, Paso Sobenes (the southernmost of our route), Escobar Doxrud Passage, and Morla Vicuña Channel. This route allows us to explore some of the most remote and pristine territories in Patagonia.

At sunrise, we will begin our navigation through the Santa María Channel, then cross the narrowest passage of the route, the White Strait, which is only 80 meters wide. We will continue our journey through the Unión Fjord until we reach the access channel to Puerto Natales, our final destination. Arrival time may vary depending on weather and sea conditions, always at the discretion of the Captain. Arrival at the port is subject to schedule changes based on the climate and sea conditions.
