ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Puerto Natales

Upon arriving in the picturesque city of Puerto Natales, you will immerse yourself in its warm and unique atmosphere. At the pre-scheduled time, you will attend an informative briefing to learn key details about your adventure, including the itinerary and essential recommendations. You will spend the night at Factoría Hostel, a welcoming space that combines comfort with local design, perfect for recharging your energy before embarking on your journey.

Day 2: Full-Day Panoramic Torres del Paine

We will depart from Puerto Natales towards Villa Cerro Castillo, enjoying a 45-minute drive surrounded by Magellanic forests, glacial valleys, and majestic mountain ranges. Our first stop will be the viewpoint at Lake Sarmiento, where we’ll admire the Paine Mountain Range and the stunning Lake Sarmiento. Next, we’ll head to the Laguna Amarga viewpoint, known for its flamingo inhabitants, and then to the main entrance of Torres del Paine National Park to register our entrance tickets.

Along the way, we will visit iconic viewpoints such as Lake Nordenskjöld, Salto Grande, Lake Pehoé, Weber Bridge, and Lake Grey. On our return, we will stop at the Grey viewpoint, which offers spectacular views of Lake Toro and, weather permitting, the Grey Glacier.

We will end the day by exploring the Natural Monument of the Milodon Cave, a site of significant historical and archaeological importance. After this final visit, we will return to Puerto Natales, carrying with us the memories of an unforgettable day discovering the unique and majestic landscapes of Patagonia.

Day 3: Full-Day Hike to the Base of Torres del Paine

After enjoying an energizing breakfast at Factoría Hostel, you will begin the exciting journey to the Base of Torres del Paine. Early in the morning, you will head towards the National Park, making your way to the Reserva Cerro Paine, where the trail begins. Before starting the hike, the guide will provide key instructions and ensure the group is equipped with everything needed, including trekking poles and winter gear such as crampons and gaiters.

The initial ascent, lasting about an hour, will take you along a zigzag path that reveals the first views of the Ascencio Valley. You will continue through a lenga forest along the Ascencio River, surrounded by spectacular views of Cerro Almirante Nieto. After a brief rest at Refugio Chileno, you will face the final section: a challenging trail that leads to the viewpoint in front of the iconic Torres del Paine. Here, the towering Central, Monzino, and Dagostini peaks, along with the Peineta and Nido de Cóndores mountains, will offer you an unparalleled natural spectacle. After soaking in the magnificent scenery and capturing memories in photos, you will begin the descent on the same route. At the end of the day, you will return to Puerto Natales, satisfied with having explored one of Patagonia’s most iconic landscapes.

Day 4: Final Morning in Puerto Natales

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the cozy Hostal Factoría, marking the start of your last morning in the charming city of Puerto Natales.

PROGRAM MODIFICATIONS

All excursions are subject to weather conditions. In case of cancellations, alternatives will be provided.
The order of excursions may vary according to the day of arrival and the availability of a minimum number of passengers for the full-day trekking.

DEPARTURES

May to September. The program can start every day except Fridays, as the Full-Day Trek to the Base of Torres del Paine operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and if starting on a Friday, there are no excursions on Saturdays or Sundays.

RESTRICTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Whenever possible, choose direct flights to Puerto Natales. If unavailable, select flights arriving in the morning to Punta Arenas and departing in the afternoon or evening.
The Full-Day Trek to the Base of Torres del Paine is not recommended for children under 14 years old.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR BASE TORRES TREK

If you prefer an experience without trekking, you can change the Full-Day Trek to the Base of Torres del Paine for the following options:

OPTION 1: Full-Day Estancia (Ranch): Enjoy an unforgettable experience at a Patagonian estancia with a typical lunch included (request vegetarian or vegan meals when booking) and discover the daily life of an estancia, interacting with the owners.
OPTION 2: GREY III Navigation: Enjoy a unique experience with incredible views of the Grey Glacier (only available on Wednesdays and Saturdays).
OPTION 3: Balmaceda and Serrano Navigation: Enjoy a day of navigation through the Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers, with lunch included.
