ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in San Pedro de Atacama and excursion to Moon Valley

Llegada a Calama y traslado a San Pedro de Atacama.

El Valle de la Luna es uno de los puntos más importantes de la Cordillera de la Sal. Visitamos la duna mayor, el anfiteatro, las tres Marías, y el mirador piedra del Coyote. (Kari) Finalmente esperamos el atardecer frente a la Cordillera de Los Andes, junto a un cocktail para disfrutar.

Day 2: Atacama Salt Flat and Toconao Village

Located south of San Pedro de Atacama. The Salar is the largest salt deposit in Chile, and other important minerals such as lithium. We will arrive to the core of the salt flat to find the Chaxa Lagoon. Here we will be able to observe up to 3 different species of flamingos, as well as other birds. Near the salt flat, we will also visit the village of Toconao, where we will learn about the culture of the area.

Day 3: Altiplanic Lagoons + Red Stones

This route that goes through the south of San Pedro de Atacama, towards the border crossing Paso Sico. Our first stop will be for breakfast in a tamarugo forest. Then we continue to Piedras Rojas, where we will enjoy a trail to the closest point to the Salar de Aguas Calientes III, which is at the foot of the beautiful Piedras Rojas, creating a picturesque landscape. Before our next destination, we will have lunch and enjoy a privileged view of the altiplano. Our next visit will be to the Altiplanic Lagoons. Where we will be able to walk at least two trails of regular access, to visit the Miscanti and Miñiques lagoons, with a privileged view of the volcanoes. We will also visit the Tropic of Capricorn and make a stop to appreciate the unique sights of this place.

Day 4: Tatio Geysers and Machuca

El Tatio is located 1.5 hours from San Pedro de Atacama. We will leave the town at dawn to see the maximum boiling point reached by the more than 80 active geysers found in this place. The largest geothermal field in the southern hemisphere, and one of the largest in the world. Afterwards, at the exit of the park we will stop in front of a wetland where we will be able to appreciate the typical fauna of the area, while we have breakfast. Then we will continue to the Putana wetland, where we will contemplate one of the active volcanoes in the area, the Putana volcano. Finally, we will stop at the Machuca wetland to visit flamingos before returning to town.

Day 5: Transfer to Calama Airport

A transfer will pick you up and take you to the Calama Airport, according to your flight schedule.

Included: Transfer from San Pedro de Atacama to Calama Airport.

PROGRAM MODIFICATIONS

The order of the tours will be confirmed upon arrival at the Calama airport. The passenger will receive a summary of the itinerary with the tours and the corresponding schedules.
In case of eventualities such as sandstorms, wind gusts, park closures, snowstorms, rain, electrical storms, earthquakes, volcanic activity, floods, landslides, road closures, river flooding, among others that prevent the normal development of the activity. An alternative to the initial excursion will be offered. Whoever does not wish to join this new proposal will be refunded 100% of the tour price. The difference in price will be charged only in case it exists.
All excursions are subject to weather conditions.

The company will not be responsible for theft, loss of objects, accessories, documents, bank cards and other personal belongings left in the vehicles. We will assist you in the search for lost objects and if needed a member of our team will accompany you to the police authorities.
