ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Puerto Natales.

Today start your adventure! .Early a private transfer will pick you, to take you to the bus terminal, where you will take the bus to the Torres del Paine National Park. You will travel through beautiful landscapes until you reach Pudeto, where you will have to take the Catamaran that will take you to Paine Grande.

When you arrive to Paine Grande, after checking in, you can take the walk to Mirador Grey.

Day 2: Full-Day Hike to the Base of Torres del Paine

After enjoying an energizing breakfast at your hotel, you will begin the exciting journey to the Base of Torres del Paine. Early in the morning, you will head towards the National Park, making your way to the Reserva Cerro Paine, where the trail begins. Before starting the hike, the guide will provide key instructions and ensure the group is equipped with everything needed, including trekking poles and winter gear such as crampons and gaiters.

 

The initial ascent, lasting about an hour, will take you along a zigzag path that reveals the first views of the Ascencio Valley. You will continue through a lenga forest along the Ascencio River, surrounded by spectacular views of Cerro Almirante Nieto. After a brief rest at Refugio Chileno, you will face the final section: a challenging trail that leads to the viewpoint in front of the iconic Torres del Paine. Here, the towering Central, Monzino, and D’Agostini peaks, along with the Peineta and Nido de Cóndores mountains, will offer you an unparalleled natural spectacle. After soaking in the magnificent scenery and capturing memories in photos, you will begin the descent on the same route.

 

At the end of the day, you will return to Puerto Natales, satisfied with having explored one of Patagonia’s most iconic landscapes.

Día 3: Navegación Grey III y llegada a Refugio Grey

Your adventure begins early with a transfer that will take you to the spectacular Torres del Paine National Park. Along the way, you will be captivated by the region’s unparalleled landscapes, featuring towering mountains, expansive valleys, and shimmering lakes. Upon arrival at Hotel Grey, you will check in and prepare for a one-of-a-kind experience: the Grey III Navigation. This journey across Grey Lake will bring you close to the awe-inspiring Grey Glacier, where you will marvel at its mesmerizing blue hues and the majestic icebergs floating in its waters.

 

This unforgettable excursion will take you to the heart of the iconic Grey Sector, one of the park’s most astonishing natural treasures.

Day 4: hike to the hanging bridges

The hike will only take place if weather and time permit. The decision is subject to the instructions of the guide in charge.

This day will offer you a unique experience. To enjoy a spectacular view of Grey Glacier, spend between 3 and 4 hours (round trip) heading towards the famous hanging bridges, one of the best viewpoints of the glacier. Along the way, you will be able to admire the majestic ice and imposing floating icebergs, as well as the breathtaking ravines created by the rivers and waterfalls coming from the Olguín Mountain Range. This journey will allow you to enjoy unique landscapes, where the natural beauty and power of Patagonia are present at every step.

Day 5: Hike to Paine Grande

The hike to Refugio Paine Grande will immerse you in one of Patagonia’s most spectacular landscapes. From the very beginning, you’ll be awestruck by the breathtaking views of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field and the icebergs floating on Grey Lake. The trail ascends through a mountain forest to the Grey Glacier viewpoint, renowned for its stunning panoramas and, at times, its strong winds.

From there, the route continues to Laguna Los Patos, where you’ll begin your descent through a narrow, windy valley that leads directly to Refugio Paine Grande. At the end of the day, you can relax and enjoy a well-deserved dinner at the refuge, surrounded by the tranquility of the park.

Día 6: Caminata a Valle Francés

Today’s hike is an out-and-back trek from the Paine Grande Refuge, so an early start is essential. After enjoying breakfast at the refuge, pick up your packed lunch and get ready for a great adventure. The trail will lead you into the heart of the park, skirting the crystal-clear blue waters of Lake Skottsberg.

After approximately 2.5 hours of hiking, you’ll reach Campamento Italiano, where park rangers mark the start of the ascent to the French Valley. From here, you’ll traverse challenging terrain of large boulders and a lush forest until you reach the breathtaking viewpoint. From this vantage point, you’ll be rewarded with an unparalleled view of Los Cuernos, turquoise glacial lagoons, and the majestic hanging glaciers that descend the eastern face of the Paine Grande massif (2,884 meters). If you’re lucky, you might hear the thunderous roar of the glacier calving and the cascading waterfalls, and even witness an avalanche—an unforgettable natural spectacle. Take this opportunity to enjoy your boxed lunch and a well-deserved rest surrounded by these unique landscapes. Then, begin your descent along the same trail to Campamento Italiano and continue back to Refugio Paine Grande, completing an unforgettable experience in the heart of Torres del Paine.

Day 7: Hike on Las Carretas Trail and Return to Puerto Natales

Enjoy a delicious breakfast in the dining area of Refugio Paine Grande and mke sure to request your box lunch for the day. Take some time to explore the surroundings and enjoy the tranquility of the area before starting your journey back. You will return via the same Las Carretas trail, and once you reach the administrative area, a private transfer will be waiting to take you back to Puerto Natales, where your unforgettable experience will come to an end.
