This excursion will allow you to get to know the Magallanes National Reserve, a forested protected area with a variety of trails for trekking and mountain biking. The reserve is located only 8 km west of the city of Punta Arenas. We will pick you up at your lodging place and then we will go to the foot of Mount Fenton, where we will equip ourselves to walk under a colorful forest and with beautiful viewpoints. This hike is approximately 1.5 hours. During the walk you will be able to appreciate different species of flora such as romerillo, sarsaparilla, calafate, murtilla, notro, leñadura, michay and coigue and lenga forests.
Among the bird species it is possible to see chunchos, rayaditos, chercanes, cachañas, chincoles, cometocinos, thrushes and tiuques. From the trail you will also have a panoramic view of the De las Minas River valley on its way to the Strait of Magellan.
