ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival at Torres del Paine National Park - Grey Refuge

The adventure begins early in the morning when the transfer will pick you up and take you to Torres del Paine National Park. You will travel through beautiful landscapes until you arrive at Hotel Grey where you will check in and take the Grey III Navigation, which will take you to one of the most incredible sectors of Torres del Paine National Park, Grey Sector. During your stay you will have the possibility to walk on the Grey Glacier, kayak to the glacier and visit the famous Hanging Bridges.

Day 2: Grey Glacier Ice Trek

Get ready to feel the thrill of boarding a Zodiac to reach Nunatak Island and access the glacier where you can experience literally walking on the Patagonian ice.

This excursion starts at the base 10 minutes walk from Refugio Grey with a frequency of 2 times a day (8am, 14:30pm).

After a short safety briefing you will zodiac across Grey Lake to approach Nunatak Island and begin a 1 hour hike to the glacier. Upon arrival the guide will help you adjust the ice equipment correctly and once you are ready you can begin the incredible ice walking adventure. It will be about 2.5 hours on the Grey Glacier, observing crevasses, rivers, lagoons, tunnels and ice caves!

Day 3: Kayak to Grey Glacier

Half day excursion, where you will enjoy paddling through ice floes while observing the beautiful landscapes of the Grey Glacier.

You will depart from Playa Grey, next to the Grey Refuge to begin your adventure.

First the guides will give you the necessary kayaking equipment and then you will have a safety talk where you will learn about your kayak, the paddle, the route and the weather conditions.

The kayaking experience will have you paddling close to large floating ice floes, towards the east side of the Grey Glacier and approaching the giant ice walls. While you rest and enjoy this incredible place with all its beauty, the guide will offer a snack and hot drink. If weather conditions allow it, you will pass by the island called Nunatak on your way back to Refugio Grey.

KAYAK FIORDO EBERHARD

You will leave Puerto Natales and after 30 minutes you will arrive at Puerto Prat where you will be equipped with the appropriate clothing and will have a safety briefing to begin the kayaking.

The tour starts at the beach of Puerto Prat in the direction of the Estancia Puerto Consuelo. During the navigation you will be able to see many birds, such as black-necked swans, coscorobas swans, taguas, ducks and flamingos. On the way back you will stop for a quiet walk and enjoy a wonderful view of Torres del Paine and other surrounding mountains. You will continue sailing until you reach Puerto Prat where you will visit an old house of local settlers, who will be waiting for you to share a hot drink and some delicious sopaipillas with homemade jams, before returning to Puerto Natales.

Day 4: Free day in Grey and return to Puerto Natales.

If you didn’t get to visit the hanging bridges, reserve today’s morning and head to the incredible hanging bridges. It is by far the best viewpoint of the Glacier. Besides contemplating the impressive ice, you can see the depths of the ravines formed by the rivers and waterfalls that come from the Cordón OlguĆ­n. If you are lucky, you may even see the ice falling from the glacier into the cold waters of Grey Lake.

After your visit to the Bridges get ready to take the Grey III Navigation to Playa Grey where your transport back to Puerto Natales will be waiting for you.
