Day 1: Las Carretas Path – Paine Grande

Today your adventure begins. You will leave early from your hotel in Puerto Natales, a private transfer will be waiting for you to start your trip to Torres del Paine National Park. You will arrive at the Conaf Administration from where you will begin your walk along Las Carretas Path to the Paine Grande Refuge. You will have panoramic views of the Park throughout the tour and in the last section beautiful views of Lake Pehoé. When you arrive at Paine Grande after check in, you can rest and enjoy dinner in the refuge in the afternoon.

Day 2: Arrival at Grey Refuge

After breakfast, remember to ask for your box lunch and start today’s trekking. The hike begins through a narrow and winding valley that leads to Los Patos lagoon. As you continue, you will get glimpses of the immense Southern Ice Field, as well as the icebergs in the Grey Lake. After passing the sometimes very windy viewpoint, the path descends through a mountainous forest until it reaches the Grey refuge. From here, you can continue your walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the Grey glacier lookout, where you will be facing the bluest glacier in the world. Dinner will be served in the refuge between 6:00 and 9:00 pm.

Day 3: Day Off in Grey

For an unforgettable view of the Gray Glacier, this day you can reserve about 3 – 4 hours in the morning (round trip) and walk in the direction of the famous Hanging Bridges. It is the best viewpoint of the Glacier. In addition, you will be able to contemplate the impressive ice, to see the depths of the ravines formed by the rivers and waterfalls that come from the Olguín Range. If you are lucky, you will be able to see ice slides from the Glacier into the cold waters of Gray Lake. In the afternoon you can do some of the activities such as Ice trek or kayak on Glaciar Grey. Enjoy your dinner at the shelter.

Day 4: Hike Grey to Paine Grande

After your breakfast in Grey Refuge, during the morning you can do activities that you did not the previous days. Enjoy your lunch at the refuge or request your box lunch and prepare to begin your hike to Paine Grande. A few minutes after starting to walk you will marvel with spectacular views of the southern ice Field and the icebergs of Gray Lake. You will hike through a mountain forest until you reach the Gray Glacier Viewpoint, which is sometimes very windy. Continue your trek until you reach Los Patos Lagoon, where you will begin the descent through a narrow and windy valley that will take you directly to Paine Grande. Enjoy the dinner in Paine Grande Refuge.

Day 5: Hike to French Valley

Today’s hike will be a round trip, starting and finishing at Paine Grande, so we recommend beginning early! After breakfast, ask for your box lunch and get ready for a new day full of amazing Patagonian landscapes.

Hike to the core of the park, bordering the blue waters of the Skottsberg lake. After approximately 2.5 hours of walking, you will arrive to the Italiano camp (park rangers), where you will begin your journey to the French Valley. Climb large rocks and then continue through the forest until you reach the French viewpoint. Here, you will be rewarded with incredible views of Los Cuernos, turquoise glacial lagoons and amazing hanging glaciers that fall down the east face of Paine Grande Mountain (3.050 m.a.s.l.m). If you are lucky, you can hear the resounding noise of the glacier and the falling water, as well as it is very common to witness an avalanche. Enjoy your box lunch and the well-deserved rest. Descend the same path to the Italian camp and then to Paine Grande refuge.

Day 6: Departure from Park and Return to Puerto Natales

Enjoy breakfast in the dining room of the Paine Grande refuge and don’t forget to ask for your box lunch. Today you can tour the surroundings of the place and walk a bit, and then start your return trip, along the same Las Carretas path, where a private transfer will be waiting for you in the administration sector to head towards Puerto Natales.
