Connecting the famous W Trek with the Paine Circuit, Refugio Grey is an essential stop on your hiking adventure in Torres del Paine National Park. Sitting in a peaceful forest backdrop, you are just a few-minute walk away from the gigantic white-blue ice wall of Grey Glacier. With a capacity up to 60
guests in private rooms with 4 and 6 bunk standard beds (with mattress cover, pillow and pillowcase). You can rent a bedclothes kits (sheets and cover) or a sleeping bag if you want to walk through the park without that extra weigh but, if you prefer, you can bring your own.
The rooms are not heated. The corridors and common areas are heated by slow wood burning.

Access

From Paine Grande (11 kms / 3.5 hrs / Moderate difficulty)
From Camping Los Perros (17 kms / 10.5 hrs / Difficult, only for those who are doing the Macizo Paine Circuit)
From Hotel Lago Grey (Grey III navigation / 2.5hrs)

The navigation times are:
• Hotel Grey – Refugio Grey: 45 mins.
• Refugio Grey – Hotel Grey: 1 hour & 45 mins.

Same sex shared bathrooms with cold-water sinks, toilets and hot-water showers.

CAMPING+

With a capacity for 120 campers, this campsite is equipped with same sex shared bathrooms, hot-water showers, food services and a designated windproof cooking area. Camping equipment (pitched tent, mat and sleeping bag) is available to rent for those who want to enjoy the outdoors without carrying any extra weight.

RESTAURANT+

The refuge has a restaurant with a daily fixed menu and a vegetarian alternative. Dinner, breakfast and lunch available – in that order -, as well as box lunch (ordering in advance) so that you can have lunch at a stop on your trek and take advantage of your lunch outdoors (remember to take your garbage with you!). Also enjoy our pizzas during the afternoon. We offer a cafeteria service as well during the afternoons.
Dinner must be reserved before 05:00 pm.

Located next to the living room, in the bar you can enjoy a beer, a wide variety of wines or our extensive cocktail menu.

LIVING ROOM+

Sit back and relax in our living room in one of our comfy armchairs to enjoy the mountain views, magazines and a television that offers documentaries and cable television. This is the perfect place to relax after a long hiking day!

TERRACE+

It’s the ideal place to enjoy the view to Cordón Olguín and, if you are lucky, to watch condors glide.

CONVENIENCE STORE+

You will find everything you need to cook in case you want to cook your own food, including provisions in general, frozen meals, chocolates, energy bars and cookies, among others. You can also find souvenirs and mountain equipment.

QUINCHO (COOKING AREA)+

For those who prefer to prefer to cook their own meals, we have a designated area for this that is protected from the wind and rain since it is not allowed to cook inside the refuge, tents or outdoors.

ELECTRICITY+

you can find electric outlets (220V) in the rooms, Front Desk and convenience store. At night there is no electricity to save energy. Confirm operating hours at the Front Desk.

BACKPACKS STORAGE+

Free storage is available for all guests.

INTERNET+

There is no cell phone service in the entire park. Grey refuge offers a paid Wi-Fi service to its guests. Check at the Front Desk for rates and payment methods.
