The Park has five official entrances: Laguna Amarga, Sarmiento, Serrano, Laguna Azul and Laguna Verde, being the most used the first three. At each entrance, it is mandatory to register with CONAF (park rangers) and show your pre paid entrance, that you need to buy at https://www.aspticket.cl/
There are regular buses that depart from the Rodoviario Bus Terminal in Puerto Natales, or you can book a private shuttle service.
The best months to visit the National Park are November through March. It is recommended to make your reservations, at least, six months in advance.
No. The last place you will have access to an ATM is in Puerto Natales.
Preferably yes. Even though our refuges and campsites accept credit/debit cards, there are still many services inside of the National Park that are cash only.
We highly recommend to wear hiking boots to prevent injuries due to the uneven trails in the National Park. We also recommend that your hiking boots are waterproof.
Monday to Sunday it departs from Pudeto to Paine Grande at 10:30 am and returns from Paine Grande to Pudeto at 5:00 pm.
From January 3rd, 2022, Hielos Patagonicos catamaran will begin to return at 5:30 pm from Paine Grande to Pudeto (the schedule from Pudeto to Paine Grande will remain the same).
No. The last regular bus from Torres del Paine to Puerto Natales arrives at, approximately, 9:15 pm.
At that time there are no buses departing to Punta Arenas so you will need to spend that night in Puerto Natales.
No, the only way to get to the campsites and refuges is walking. The only exception to this is Central refuge, where you can park at the Welcome Center.
Yes, the trails are well marked with colors and / or signs located on trees, rocks, etc. While crossing the John Garner Pass, make sure to follow the orange poles that will keep you in the right direction.
The trails in Torres del Paine National Park are quite crowded, which keeps them well-marked.
It is forbidden to walk outside the trails.
Generally the water in Torres del Paine National Park is safe to drink. However, it is not recommended to drink the water from streams / rivers that are located near the refuges due
to an increased human presence in the area.
If you are with a guide, he or she will indicate which streams to fill up at.
You can only camp in authorized campsites within the limits of the National Park. If you do not follow this rule, you will get an expensive fine and be expelled from the Park without the possibility of coming back.
No, El Paso campsite will be closed during the 2021 – 2022 season, so anyone who wants to make the Massif Circuit will have to hike directly from Los Perros to Grey.
According to CONAF regulations, the use of drones in Torres del Paine National Park is prohibited. Any special permission must be requested directly with them through this link: Cerofilas_gob
It is recommended to be in good shape, considering that between campsites you will have to walk, at least, 4 hours.
There are only toilets at the authorized campsites. If you need to go to the bathroom while hiking, it is a must to have a bag and take your waste with you. Please, do not bury or leave your toilet paper on or near the trail.
We do have Wi-Fi service in Paine Grande and Grey, that can only be used by prepaying through PayPal. Keep in mind that the conexion might not be the best one due to weather conditions.
Yes. In common areas you will find outlets with a capacity of 220V.
This service is not available in Camping Los Perros.
Yes. At each refuge and campsite there are showers with hot water, with the exception of camping Los Perros.

Luggage storage is only available at Paine Grande, Grey and Central refuges. Depending on the shelter, there may be a fee for the use of the storage room.

No, you can only cook in the designated cooking area at each campsite (quincho), which is a closed shelter where you will be able to do it protected from the wind and rain.
For passengers without a campstove or propane, there are several of these items to rent in our stores.
No. Electricity only runs from 6:00 am to 00:00 hrs during high-season (October to April).
Yes. You can pay with cash, credit or debit card.
Normally Paine Grande and Grey refuges are open all year round. However, due to COVID-19 regulations it is better to check the availability with our Sales department: ventas@vertice.travel
No. It will be considered a No Show, so no refunds will be possible.
Reservations are non-transferable, so it is not possible for someone else to use it.
Yes. Until November 30th, 2021, and unless the regional government extends it, it is mandatory to enter with a negative PCR test taken less than 72 hrs from your arrival to Magallanes. Seremi (Health department) Staff is checking at the airports that this requirement is met.
From December 1st, 2021, you will be able to enter to the region only with the Mobility Pass. Unvaccinated passengers will need to show a negative PCR test to travel.
No, it is not necessary. However, it is a fundamental requirement for entering to Magallanes until November 30th, 2021. In addition, this test has to have a negative result and be taken no longer than 72 hrs before departure.
