Navigation to the Grey Glacier is one of the excursions not to be missed during your visit to Torres del Paine National Park. This voyage takes place aboard the “Grey III” and allows us to enjoy a unique landscape composed of floating icebergs, lush vegetation and towering mountains. You will sail in a comfortable and modern boat to the Grey Glacier, where you will see spectacular views of radiant blue ice, icebergs floating in the gray water, feel the Patagonian wind in your face, and share a unique and unforgettable experience. Not only will you enjoy the view of the glacier, but also views of Cerro Paine Grande, the Paine Massif, lakeside forests, rock-strewn hills, and snow-capped peaks that reach into the clouds. With luck you will see and hear ice chunks breaking off the glacier and falling into the water. The navigation consists of a visit to the Grey Glacier that lasts 2 hrs 45 minutes approximately. It includes a pisco sour or drink on the boat and a guide accompanies you during the navigation. First you must check-in at the Lago Grey Hotel one hour before departure and then you must walk along the beach between 30 and 45 minutes to get to the boat. Only in the months when the Pingo River increases its flow is it possible to cross to the Catamaran in a boat offered by the hotel and it is not necessary to make the walk. * The approach boat is not used in the low season (May-September). In high season (October-April), it is subject to weather conditions and is only confirmed at check-in.
